Gift Card Terms & Conditions

A Divija gift card is a balance, not a voucher. It never expires, it can be spent across several orders, and whatever is left stays on it.

The short version

Four things worth knowing

The full terms are below. These are the four that decide most questions.

  • No expiry date

The balance does not lapse and is not eroded by any dormancy or maintenance fee. It is worth on the last day exactly what it was worth on the first.

  • Spend it in parts

Use as much or as little as you like. Anything unspent stays on the card for the next order, against the same code.

  • Treat it like cash

Anyone holding the code can spend it. We cannot cancel, reissue or refund a code that has been forwarded, screenshotted or lost.

  • Not exchangeable for cash

The balance cannot be paid out, transferred to a bank account or converted to cash, in whole or in part, except where the law requires it.

How it works

From bought to spent

  • At checkout

    Buy the amount you want

Choose a value, add the recipient's name and email, and pay as you would for any other order. Gift cards are not taxed at purchase — tax applies to what they are eventually spent on.

  • Within minutes

    It is emailed

The card arrives by email as a code and a link. Schedule it for a future date if it is meant for a birthday, and send it to yourself if you would rather hand it over in person.

  • Any time after

    Redeemed at checkout

Enter the code in the gift card field at checkout. The balance is applied to the order total and the remainder, if any, is charged to a card.

  • Whatever is left

    The balance rolls on

Unspent value stays against the same code and can be checked at any time using the link in the original email.

The full terms

What you are buying, precisely

Issuer and currency. Gift cards are issued by Divija Jewels in Indian rupees and can be spent only on this store. They cannot be used at any other retailer or against any other brand.

What they can be spent on. Anything we sell, including made-to-order and bespoke pieces. A gift card can be combined with any other payment method offered at checkout. It cannot be used to buy another gift card.

Cancellation and refunds. A gift card is not refundable once it has been issued, and the balance on it is not exchangeable for cash. Where an order paid for with a gift card is cancelled or returned, the refund goes back onto the same gift card as balance, not to a bank account.

Security. The code is the card. Anyone who has it can spend it, so treat the email as you would cash and do not post the code anywhere public. We cannot replace a code that has been shared, intercepted or lost, and we cannot reverse a redemption that has already happened.

Fraud. We may void a card obtained fraudulently, bought with a payment that is later reversed, or offered for resale, and we will tell the holder why.

Changes. These terms may change, but never to the disadvantage of a card already issued. The terms that applied on the day a card was bought are the terms that govern it.

Questions

Gift cards, answered

Does a Divija gift card expire?

No. There is no expiry date and no dormancy fee. A card bought today is worth its full value in ten years.

What if the piece costs more than the card?

The card covers what it can and the balance of the order is charged to your card or UPI at checkout. There is no minimum you have to spend and no cap on the difference.

What if it costs less?

The remainder stays on the gift card for next time. It is not paid out and it does not disappear.

Can I use more than one gift card on an order?

Yes. Enter each code at checkout and they are applied in turn.

The recipient never received the email.

Check the spam folder first, then check the address on the order for a typo. Tell us and we will resend it, and we can change the recipient address on a card that has not been spent.

Can I return something bought with a gift card?

Yes, under the same fifteen-day policy as any other order. The refund returns to the gift card as balance rather than to a bank account.

Can I get a refund on the gift card itself?

No. Once issued, a gift card is not refundable and its balance cannot be paid out in cash. If it was bought by mistake, tell us the same day and we will do what we can.

How do I check the balance?

Use the link in the original gift card email — it shows the current balance at any time. If the email is gone, write to infodivijajewels@gmail.com from the address the card was sent to.

These terms apply to gift cards issued by Divija. A card bought through a third party is governed by whatever that seller's terms say, and we cannot honour a code we did not issue.
