Gold Rate
An indicative live market reference for gold: the international spot price, converted to Indian rupees per gram at each purity. Our product prices are set piece by piece and shown on each product page, and the price you pay is the one at checkout.

* These figures are a live market reference and change on their own. They are read from an international spot gold feed each time this page is opened and converted to a per-gram rupee rate at hallmark fineness. They are indicative, not a quotation, and they do not change the price of any piece — each product’s price is shown on its page, and the price you pay is the one at checkout.
What you are actually paying for
Four components go into the price of a gold piece. We set that price per piece, and it is shown on the product page.
-
Metal value
Net weight of gold in the piece, multiplied by the rate for its purity. A 6-gram 18K ring is priced on 6 grams at the 18K rate, not the 24K one.
-
Making charges
The labour of designing, casting, finishing and setting. Charged per gram or as a fixed amount depending on the piece, and higher on intricate work.
-
Stone value
Diamonds and gemstones priced individually on their own characteristics. Certified stones are priced against their grading report.
-
GST
Applied to the total at the prevailing rate. Prices shown on the site are GST-inclusive, and the tax appears as its own line on your invoice.
On a diamond or gemstone piece the metal is often the smallest of the four components, which is why the gold rate alone says little about what a finished piece costs.

Your price is the checkout price
The gold rate moves daily, and sometimes within a day. The price of a Divija piece does not move with it. Each piece is priced individually, its price is shown on its product page, and the price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
If gold rises while a made-to-order piece is being made, we absorb it. If it falls, the price you agreed still stands — which is the same bargain in the other direction, and the only version of it that can be written down in advance.
The one place the current rate matters after purchase is exchange and buyback, where your gold is valued at the rate on the day of assessment rather than the day you bought.

Gold pricing, answered
How often is this rate updated?
Each time the page is opened. It is read live from an international spot gold feed and converted to rupees, so treat it as an indicative market reference — it does not change the price of any piece, which is shown on its product page and confirmed at checkout.
Why does your rate differ from the one my local jeweller quotes?
Because there is no single official gold rate in India. Rates vary by city, by association and by dealer, and they differ on whether GST and other charges are included. The reference here is quoted per gram and exclusive of GST, which is stated on this page so the two can be compared like for like.
Gold has fallen since I ordered. Can I have the lower price?
No, and we would not ask you for the difference if it had risen. The price is fixed at checkout in both directions — that is what makes it a price rather than a bet.
Why is 22K not simply cheaper than 24K by the difference in purity?
It nearly is, on metal alone: the 22K rate is roughly 91.6% of the 24K rate, because that is how much pure gold is in it. What changes the finished price is everything else — a 22K piece and an 18K piece of the same design carry different making charges and often different stone work.
Are these rates inclusive of GST?
No. The rates on this page are exclusive of GST, making charges and stone value. Prices on product pages are GST-inclusive and already contain all four components.
Do you sell gold coins or bullion at these rates?
We are a jewellery house rather than a bullion dealer. The 24K rate is published so you can see the basis of the other three, not as an offer to sell pure gold.
Rates published here are indicative, quoted per gram exclusive of GST, and taken live from an international spot gold feed — they change on their own while the page is open. They do not constitute a quotation, an offer to buy or sell gold, or investment advice. Product prices are set per piece, and the price of any order is the one shown at checkout.
One price, set per piece
Every piece is priced individually and shown on its product page, GST included. The price at checkout is the price you pay.
